Srikrishna
Janamashtmi also referred to as Krishnashtmi is celebrated on “ASHTAMI” in the
month of “SHRAVANA” according to Hindu calendar. Sri Krishna was the 8th
child of Devaki and Vasudeva and every year Janamashtmi is celebrated as the
birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated all over the country very
joyfully. This year it was celebrated on the 28th f august according
to the English calendar.
On this occasion a function was
also held in our campus in which various activities starting by offering
prayers to lord Krishna to DJ night were carried. Lord Krishna is also known as
“MAKHAN CHOR” as he liked butter very much. A “MATKI PHOD” competition was also
organised during the function in which various team participated. The gigantic
view of the pyramids made a view to be watched. This competition turned out to
be the most interesting part of the function and became a part of everyone’s
attention. Students were very excited for the event and showed active
participation with great enthusiasm and joy.
