Srikrishna Janamashtmi also referred to as Krishnashtmi is celebrated on “ASHTAMI” in the month of “SHRAVANA” according to Hindu calendar. Sri Krishna was the 8th child of Devaki and Vasudeva and every year Janamashtmi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna. This festival is celebrated all over the country very joyfully. This year it was celebrated on the 28th f august according to the English calendar.

On this occasion a function was also held in our campus in which various activities starting by offering prayers to lord Krishna to DJ night were carried. Lord Krishna is also known as “MAKHAN CHOR” as he liked butter very much. A “MATKI PHOD” competition was also organised during the function in which various team participated. The gigantic view of the pyramids made a view to be watched. This competition turned out to be the most interesting part of the function and became a part of everyone’s attention. Students were very excited for the event and showed active participation with great enthusiasm and joy.
