I believe that it is fair to say that most people are striving to achieve some type of success, whether it is success in their personal or professional life or both. In their quest to become a leader in their own right, many people keep going and going like the energizer bunny.

Unfortunately there is one thing that far too many people have in common, and that is that they believe that there is not enough hours in the day. Many describe it as feeling like they are in a rat race that never ends. The days seem fused together; they are always on the go and feel like they never get a chance to slow down.

The reality is that you will never slow down if you do not make an intentional effort to do so. You have to make the time and reclaim some time in your day for you, and you only. Here are 3 steps to help you find and reclaim that time.

Step 1
Start with identifying what you time really looks like, through "your" lens. I want you to identify what you time includes. If you had a full day to yourself, with no responsibilities whatsoever, what would you do? I mean what really relaxes you? I want you to make an exhaustive list. Now, out of your list, which one thing can you tailor down and realistically do everyday? I mean an express version, where you can still get similar relaxation benefits in about 30 minutes?

Step 2
Break your day into 4 quadrants. Morning, early afternoon, late afternoon and evening. Morning is from when you wake up in the morning to 12 noon, early afternoon is 12noon to about 3pm, late afternoon is 3pm - 6pm and evening is 6pm until you shut your eyes and go to bed. I want you to identify what time of day you are most relaxed and least relaxed. Now, write down what makes that certain time of day very relaxing. Is it something about you personally, your energy level, your focus, the setting, the people around you? Make a list of the characteristics of this special time. Identify it and strategically use it to your advantage.

Step 3
The time of day that you have identified as being least relaxed is where I want you to reclaim 30 minutes of you time. Using the list you developed in step 1, and the characteristics you listed in step 2, I want you to re-create and reclaim you time and commit to doing this for 30 minutes everyday. The key is that you have to make a conscious choice and commitment to taking time out for you.

Always remember that what you do every day matters more than what you do every once in a while. Take ownership of your time and take care of you.

Recently I was conducting leadership skills for managers training when one of the participants, at the end of the program, asked for some time to speak to me privately. This gentleman was one of the brightest in a group of 75 managers. His contributions were always valuable and his attitude was admirable. Indeed I was quietly curious about this man, about the circumstances that has caused him to develop such a high level of empathy and compassion. So I was delighted that he wanted to spend time with me.

It was a Leadership Development Program that focused primarily on Personal Enhancement. He felt that the learning was very apt for his life. He went on to share his life circumstances. He has only one son and this child was born stone deaf which lead him to be mute. It took him 6 months to overcome the disappointment but he woke up one morning with the resolution that he was not going allow his son's life to be mediocre because of this challenge. So he and his wife brought him up like they would a child with all faculties and he excelled in school and in sports. His eyes were the windows to his soul and he enjoyed life with a careless abandon. He was now 11 years old.

Then the unbelievable happened! Three months ago he woke up with a severe headache and the parents rushed him to the doctor only to be told the unthinkable, "Your son has the Helen Keller's disease and will be blind in 2 months." The parents did not know how they could break the news to their son. The father went into a deep depression and stalled to tell the child. But soon the son realized it himself and came to his father one day, sat on his lap, hugged him and said, "Dad, I know that your eyes will help me to see the world better than mine."

The father broke down uncontrollably when he told me this story. The only question he asked me was, "Am I competent enough to be his eyes?" To me the question translated to, "Do I have what it takes to help my son through his terrible circumstances?"

Leadership development is about having the courage to examine your capabilities and pushing yourself to higher levels. It is about a process of continuous self-development. It is about being vulnerable and humble. And, finally, it is about the courage and persistence to climb the mountains of life, however high they may be. Our Executive Coaching / Business Coaching focuses on people discovering their potential and to reach higher levels of themselves.

Forgiveness is such a misunderstood term and subject. For many who have been traumatized, hurt, injured emotionally, mentally or physically the idea of forgiveness is difficult to grasp especially in the initial moments of the wounding. The most important idea that I wish to convey here is that forgiveness has absolutely NOTHING to do with the other person or their actions or behaviors. Forgiveness doesn't condone violence, bad behavior or abuse. Nor does it absolve the perpetrator from responsibility for his or her actions. Forgiveness is about releasing the story, the pain, the drama and the trauma from your world. Forgiveness is all about you!

When we are wounded, the wounding can take place on a multitude of levels. Sometimes the wound is obvious - a black eye, a bloody nose, a fat lip, a broken leg, often times though the wounds are not so visible, emotional blackmail, a broken heart, a constant stream of negative actions or belittling words, that permeate the emotional and mental bodies. In all cases the wounds show up in the energetic field.

The luminous energy field stores all wounds from this life and from all of our previous lives. In this field the energy of the experience lives and continues to draw to us additional experiences that "irritate" or "activate" the wound until it has finally been brought to the surface of the soul and released. This is why we often find ourselves living the same dynamics over and over again with different faces and different "sets" of circumstances by the same story. The only way out of this triangle of trauma is through - Through the power of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is about releasing at every level all of the stored energy around the experience of the wounding. So what does that mean? Well when we release or let go of the wound at the spiritual or essential level there is a cascading or domino effect in all aspects of our lives. We begin to think more clearly, we begin to feel freer, we experience health and wholeness in the mind, the body and the spirit.

How do I get this release you might ask? There are many modalities of energy healing that will help you to "get at" these issues at the deepest levels. Some, like body work, work to clear things at the cellular level include massage, cranio sacral therapy, myo facial release, Unlimited Body, Thai Yoga Massage and others that you can investigate to see what works for you. Other methods include hands on energy work like reiki, Shamballa Multidimensional Healing, IET, Quantum Touch, Laying on of Hands, Sound Healing and more. Spiritual psychology, bi-lateral stimulation, bio-feedback, EMDR psycho drama, past life regression, hypnotherapy and other modalities can assist in clearing the mind as well as the neurobiological system.

The most effective method I have found for myself has been a combination of modalities with the deepest and most profound being Shamanic Medicine Work. Shamanic work in the Peruvian tradition includes Illumination which is a clearing of the chakras and filling them with light, Extraction which is the removal of crystallized energies and entities, and Soul Retrieval work where contracts that have been made at the soul level can be re-written and lost soul parts and quantum packets of energy are brought back to the Light Body for integration and a return to the path of destiny. One of the many benefits of Light Body work or Shamanic Medicine work is the ability to dispense entirely with engaging in the "Story" of the wound, whether from a past or a present life or both. The work is so profound because it works at the essential or soul matrix level.

The most beautiful of the gifts that we receive when we engage in this deep inner work of bringing to the surface that which we need to release is the incredible sense of freedom and lightness that comes from the process of forgiveness. We can journey through our remaining days unshackled to old wounds and past hurts, and we can use our prodigious life force energy instead to create beauty, peace, harmony and joy for ourselves, our families, our communities and the world. Find the path to forgiveness today - you'll be glad that you did.

Committing to learning English is a serious decision. To succeed in this endeavor, you need to be ready to invest a lot of time and effort, but eventually all your hard work will pay off. In case you haven't made up your mind yet, here're 5 reasons that might persuade you to go for it.

* English language is spoken in 180 countries worldwide. Since there are only 196 - or 195, according to different sources - independent countries in the world, it means that wherever you go, you will be able to communicate, understand and be understood.
* Your chances to find a great job will be significantly better. While the overall effects of outsourcing on global economy is still unclear, the ability to speak English will help you to secure a job offer from an English-speaking company. In 2004, USA- and UK-based corporations outsourced 42% and 17% of jobs, according to the findings of the latest "English Next" study conducted by the British Council.
* Do you spend most of your time online? If so, learning English is definitely a good idea for you, since the English language continues to dominate the cyber space (even though other languages as Chinese experience a rapid growth in this area).
* The number of people speaking English as a Second Language keeps growing and has already exceeded 1 billion people. That's a great community to belong to! We doubt you can find anything even close on Facebook.
* Shakespeare, Elliot, Plath, and Whitman - these are just a few of the great timeless classic writers who created in English and whose works are a must-read for any educated person. While there are many good translations, do not miss out on pleasure that comes from enjoying the beauty and complexity of the English language and read the originals instead.

Do you have your own reasons for learning English? Share with us in comments!

Watching movies and videos in English is a great way to improve your ability to understand spoken English and pick up the pronunciation. Since it might be difficult for you to understand most movies and TV series, you can start with watching videos made specifically for the ESL students. You can find them everywhere: on YouTube, on Facebook, and on the websites designated to learning English. To save you some much needed time, we did a search for you. (You are welcome!) Watch these videos and learn.

Real English has a lot of free videos, featuring real people and most common topics you'll definitely encounter in your daily communication, from social introductions to talking about your family and friends. All videos are available with and without subtitles, but as the site owners suggest - and we second that opinion - try watching them first without captions, even a few times if needed. It will really help you in the long-run. Do not miss the video from Lesson 58 - not only it features a very handsome guy, but also you can gain a lot from his insights on learning the language, since he's done it himself, and amazingly well at that! These videos come with exercises aimed at listening comprehension and better understanding of English grammar rules and nuances.

Empower Network is impacting more lives then ever, also in this post I put together a list of empowering motivational quotes from your most influential motivational speakers of our time which includes; Les Brown, Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor.
Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
We all need to step out of our comfort zone in order to grow. One can tell you that starting something new is uncomfortable, but the more you do it eventually the more comfortable you'll be at it.
"If you put yourself in a position where you have to stretch outside your comfort zone, then you are forced to expand your consciousness." -- Les Brown
"Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new."?-- Brian Tracy?
For the most part anybody that's been attempting to make money online can all relate to this quote.
"There are winners, there are losers and there are people who have not yet learned to win." -- Les Brown
I think that's that the main reason why people are joining Empower Network is to learn how to win. What's awesome is that Empower Network is there to teach people who have not yet learned to win learn how to win, so that they can grow and help others. There are plenty of people that have been pursuing internet marketing and haven't made a sale or earn any commissions and that's because there's something they don't know. Empower Network teaches you exactly what you need to know to get that specific result of finally earning money online.
Passion
When starting with Empower Network you need to blog daily, and the most asked question is "what should I blog about"? and the answer to that is, write whatever you're passionate about, just blog daily and you'll get better at it.
"If you're passionate about what it is you do, then you're going to be looking for everything you can to get better at it."-- Jack Canfield
Make a Decision
You need to settle on whether not you want your life to change with this opportunity.
"Decisiveness is a characteristic of high-performing men and women. Almost any decision is better than no decision at all."?-- Brian Tracy?
"People who ask confidently get more than those who are hesitant and uncertain. When you've figured out what you want to ask for, do it with certainty, boldness and confidence."
Jack Canfield
Make a commitment
"You need to make a commitment and once you make it, then life will give you some answers." - Les Brown
Make a commitment and take action…
Rich people are devoted to being rich.
Most people would like to be rich or want to be rich, but will they be dedicated to becoming rich?
Make a commitment to yourself to becoming rich.
Be committed and get all in, Follow the 8 core commitments daily in Empower Network and get the results you always wanted.
"It doesn't matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going."?-- Brian Tracy?
There are people from all walks of life who are experiencing success with Empower Network with their own story to share from all sorts of backgrounds. You'll hear stores and learn from countless of other people in the Inner Circle Audios or at a live event.
What's stopping you?
"We have a mental block inside us that stops us from earning more than we think we are worth. If we want to earn more in reality, we have to upgrade our self-concept."?-- Brian Tracy?
I think that quote is self explanatory.
"You have to believe it's possible and believe in yourself. Because after you've decided what you want, you have to believe it's possible, and possible for you, not just for other people. Then you need to seek out models, mentors, and coaches."-- Jack Canfield
You have to believe that this can be done and Empower Network is known for a network of models, mentors, coaches and leaders to help you grow your business and turn into a leader.
"When you really want something, and you couple that with an understanding of your nature, of your spiritual being, and the laws that govern you, you will keep going, regardless of what's happened. Nothing will stop you." --Bob Proctor
This quote is empowering in itself,
I love this quote from Brian Tracy
"You have available to you, right now, a powerful supercomputer. This powerful tool has been used through-out history to take people from rags to riches, from poverty and obscurity to success and fame, from unhappiness and frustration to joy and self-fulfillment, and it can do the same for you."?-- Brian Tracy?
There are people making a fortune online with just a computer and internet connection, become one of them, get all in and join Empower Network.

Many of us would like to have more creativity in our lives. How about you?

One of the best ways to get into a creative space is to break out of your normal daily routine. And the best way to do that is to bring more playfulness and spontaneity into your life, especially into your work environment. You will find that some of your most creative flashes will come when you are having fun… if you allow yourself.

Ann McGee-Cooper in Time Management for Unmanageable People wrote, "….. the more we work, the more tired we get, the less creative or open-minded we are, and the less we accomplish, so we get further behind and then we think we have no time for play." Isn't that the truth!

When you need to inspire your creativity at work or at home, here are some 3 activities to help you get out of your normal groove and do something different.

Be a Kid Again: Think about some of the things you loved to do as a child. The more fun and wacky, the better! Did you ever build a fort with sofa cushions? Play outside in a hailstorm? Climb a tree? Allow a friend to blindfold you and guide you around? Swing on a rope? Whittle a stick?
What did you love to do? Is there a way you can incorporate any elements of those things into your workday?

And if it makes you laugh, all the better. Don't underestimate the power of laughter. In fact, Dr. Lee S. Berk, a preventive care specialist at Loma Linda University's Schools of Allied Health and Medicine, has done numerous studies on laughter. He said that laughter enhances your mood, decreases stress hormones, enhances immune activity, lowers bad cholesterol and systolic blood pressure, and raises good cholesterol. And that's no laughing matter!

Get Out and Get Inspired: Get out of your office or the physical space you spend the most time in. Take a trip to an art gallery, a park, or even the mall! You never know where inspiration will strike.

When you go out to get inspired, carry a notepad or voice recorder with you. That way, when that next great creative idea or solution to a problem pops up, you will be ready.

Move: When you are feeling stuck, one of the easiest ways to get unstuck is to get up and move. One of my mentors, Gabrielle Roth, said, "Movement is medicine… a dynamic way to free the body, to express the heart, and to clear the mind."The next time you are feeling out-of-sorts, I invite you to put on your favorite upbeat music and dance around to it. Don't worry about feeling awkward. As the wonderful choreographer Twyla Tharp said, "Get over yourself!"In fact, you could even try it NOW. Go on, give it a whirl. Find your favorite dancing music and rock out! If you are in a public place (like at work) and it is not appropriate to be seen whirling and twirling, put on a headset for a few minutes, turn up the music, and imagine yourself dancing wildly. It's almostas good.
When you add these activities to your life you will increase your energy, productivity, creativity, and enthusiasm! And you'll have more fun.

Something may have occurred to make you realize that your behavior needs to change, so that you do not drive people you care about away. The quality of your personal life begins through self improvement, but how can you address this? This article will present a few simple tips which will help you to begin your journey of bettering yourself.

Only associate with positive people. This will help you to have a better attitude and maintain it as well as keeping you away from bad people that aren't behind your dreams and goals.

Anytime and anywhere, be ready for when your ideas strike. Carry a notebook and pen in your pocket everywhere. Just write what you think about and you can work on those ideas later.

Remember to practice your core principles. Your personality is strongly shaped and supported by these principles. When you consistently practice these, you will gain confidence and believe in yourself. This also helps to make you a consistent person. This is an essential character trait.

Remember to practice your core principles. Your personality is strongly shaped and supported by these principles. If you have this rooted in a good foundation, your self-esteem will benefit greatly due to this. This also helps to make you a consistent person. This is an essential character trait.

Create a written pep talk for yourself. List the things that you love about yourself on a postcard. When things get rough, take the card out, and read over what you have written for inspiration. You can also read it and record it on video, and watch it often. What is the reason?

In order to enhance your own personal development, work on becoming a leader. While there are many different ways to describe leadership, the most popular definition centers on the ability to influence others. Examine your own past for the things that have affected your leadership potential. What events have impacted you the most in your life? How did the events that took place have an effect on you? What attributes make you a good team player? You will know where your rightful position is in a team after you have answered these questions for yourself.

Ask others about their achievements instead of boasting about your own. You can learn a lot about others from this, and have an opportunity to learn about things other people have done that warrant respect and admiration.

You cannot take care of other people unless you take care of yourself. No matter what point you are in on your journey, you should always take time to breathe.

A good attitude is essential to personal growth. A negative attitude won't help you advance in life and may actually lead you down the wrong path. Instead, be "pragmatically positive." This is the idea that a positive attitude will yield instrumental gain.

Now that you know some things to help you personally develop yourself, feel better about starting out! Never stop seeking ways to develop yourself as a person. Use that knowledge to become the person you seek to be.

If I were to say to you "there is a fox sitting in my garden enjoying the morning sun", you would probably know what I mean by the word 'fox'.

However, if I were to say to you that "God inspired me this morning". Then we have a very different situation. Would you actually know what I meant by the word 'God'?

So this article is primarily about language, and how our inherited language shapes the way we think and how we relate to our world. In turn, the way we think and what we experience shapes our language. This is one of the reasons why the historical meaning of a word can change over time (hint), and why new words are sometimes needed.

The only reason I am able to write this blog, and in turn hope that you can understand what I mean, is through a commonly understood shared language where words have precise meanings associated with them. In this case it is the English language.

Is God Just a 3 Letter Word?
In the English language at least, God is a three letter word. The real question I would like to ask is, does it have a common agreed upon meaning?

Technically, you could say that it does have a common agreed upon meaning. Why? Because we can go to an English language dictionary and look-up the word God and see what this word means in our language at the present time.

However, what I would question is whether when people say they love or believe in God or say they don't believe in God, do they actually fully know what they mean by the word? That is, are they even thinking about the same concept underpinning this word?

Is your definition (or definitions) of the word "God" one you were given by your education, one based on a religious and cultural tradition, one your peer group promotes or one you invented yourself when you were very young? Or some combination of these approaches?

Reflections on a Word.
If we bear in mind the observation that words shape the way that we think and how words can influence our experience of our world, then maybe some words deserve a closer inspection.

I would suggest that if you periodically contemplated what the word "God" means to you, and followed up on that contemplation, then your understanding and experience of what this word means to you will be enriched through this contemplative process.

We could also add other key life-words to this meditation process; words such as love, health, wealth, Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, wisdom, compassion etc. Perhaps these words have more than one meaning, as words often do. For instance, the word 'the' has over a dozen different meanings in English, depending on context. And perhaps their meaning for us will change through our lives as we mature and experience more of living.

And in time, as your understanding deepens through the contemplative process, then maybe you will be blessed with experiences where you are literally 'lost for words'; for words and the concepts they represent can never fully capture our rich living human experience of life.
